Affordable Apartment (Families)
AdvitCare created apartments offered for low monthly costs for families.
What is this tier?
This tier is dedicated to providing families with safe, spacious, and amenity-rich housing at a manageable cost, with rents for two, three, and four-bedroom apartments ranging from $300 to $700 per month. The program is designed to create a stable and supportive environment where children and parents can thrive. By significantly reducing the financial burden of housing, this tier allows families to invest in other critical areas such as education, healthcare, and savings for the future.
Who is it for?
This program is specifically for households of three or more people, including but not limited to:
Single or partnered parents with one or more minor children.
Multi-generational households (e.g., a grandparent, parent, and child living together).
A legal guardian with two or more dependents.
Any household of three or more related individuals requiring multiple bedrooms.
Qualifications for this tier?
To be eligible, the household must meet the following criteria:
Household Size: A minimum of three members is required. The size of the apartment offered will be based on the number of individuals in the household, following fair housing occupancy standards.
Rent-to-Income Ratio: The proposed rent ($300-$700) must not exceed 40% of the household's combined verified monthly income, ensuring long-term affordability.
Credit and Rental History: The rental and credit history of all adult applicants will be reviewed. A history of non-payment of rent or evictions may impact eligibility, but extenuating circumstances will be considered.
Citizenship: The head of household must be a U.S. citizen or have eligible immigration status. At least one member of the household must be a citizen or have eligible status for the family to qualify.
Background Check: All adult household members (18 years and older) must consent to and pass a standard criminal and mental background check.
How to Apply?
Due to high demand, access to this tier is managed through a waiting list and lottery system.
Join the Waiting List: The first step is to submit a pre-application below to join the "Family Housing Waiting List."
Notification of Opening: When apartments become available, AdvitCare will conduct a lottery from the waiting list. You will be notified by email and mail if your household is selected to move forward.
Submit a Full Application: If selected, you will be invited to submit a single, complete application for your entire household through our secure online portal.
Eligibility and Verification Interview: An AdvitCare specialist will schedule an interview with the head(s) of household to review the application and verify all submitted documents for every family member.
