AdvitCare Youth Housing

This initiative provides a safe and nurturing environment, offering educational support, mental health services, life skills training, and community integration programs. Our goal is to empower young individuals by giving them the tools and resources they need to achieve stability and success. We are grateful for the support of our dedicated staff, volunteers, and community partners who have made this vision a reality. Each housing complex is managed by a team of dedicated staff who ensure that the environment remains supportive and conducive to growth. The staff is divided into several departments, each focusing on different aspects of the program to provide comprehensive support.

Educational Support Department

The Educational Support Department, which is committed to helping residents excel academically. This team works closely with local schools and educational institutions such as the AdvitCare Learning Center to provide tutoring, homework assistance, and college preparation resources. They also offer workshops on study skills, time management, and goal setting to help young individuals develop the habits necessary for academic success. The Educational Support Department collaborates with teachers and counselors to create personalized learning plans that cater to each resident's unique needs and aspirations.

Mental Health Department

The Mental Health Department is another crucial component of our initiative. This team consists of licensed therapists, counselors, and social workers who provide a range of mental health services, including individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and stress management workshops. The department aims to create a safe space where young individuals can express their feelings, work through past traumas, and develop healthy coping mechanisms. By addressing mental health needs, we empower residents to build resilience and emotional well-being, which are essential for their overall success and stability.

Life Skills Training Department

The Life Skills Training Department focuses on equipping residents with the practical skills necessary for independent living. This department offers workshops and classes on a variety of topics, such as financial literacy, cooking, household management, and conflict resolution. By teaching these essential life skills, we aim to prepare young individuals for the challenges of adulthood and help them build a strong foundation for a successful and independent future. The department also provides mentorship opportunities, connecting residents with community members who can offer guidance and support as they navigate their personal and professional journeys.

Community Work Department

The Community Work Department plays a vital role in connecting residents with the broader community. This team organizes events, volunteer opportunities, and community service projects that allow young individuals to engage with their surroundings and develop a sense of belonging. By fostering these connections, we help residents build social networks, gain valuable experiences, and contribute positively to their communities. The department also works to create partnerships with local businesses and organizations, providing residents with internship and job opportunities that can lead to long-term career prospects.
